Hytale looks a lot like Minecraft. Both games are dedicated to exploring an “endless” procedurally generated world with different biomes, in both games you can mine resources, craft items and build structures. But in fact there are significant differences between them. PC Gamer Portal speakHow Hytale is different from Minecraft.

Hytale is in very early access
The biggest difference between Hytale and Minecraft is that the latter came out 15 years ago and the former has only just entered early access. And at a very early point. Of course, this doesn't mean the game is buggy; On the contrary, it is incredibly stable and the current content in it functions normally. However, Hytale is not yet complete – many elements and mechanics are still unfinished.
For example, in Hytale there are fish but no fishing rods. There are animals but there is no way to tame them. The player can fight monsters, but there are no bosses among them. Minigames have a separate tab but it's currently empty. Hytale will be expanded and improved in real time – you can even find empty places in the world where certain textures exist.
Hytale will not only be a sandbox but also an RPG
Hytales is intended to be a complete role-playing game, although currently there are almost no role-playing mechanics in it. Adventure campaigns and quests will appear later; Currently, players can only use the storyless sandbox, and the project may remain in this state for quite some time.
In Hytale, weapons have different attacks and ultimates
At the same time, Hytale's combat system hinted at what the developers wanted to do in the future. You can attack monsters with more than just regular click attacks. If you press and hold the attack button, then with a sword, for example, you can rush, and with a hammer you can hit the ground powerfully. Additionally, during battle, the player gradually fills up the ultimate ability ladder, allowing him to perform a powerful special attack. Currently, Hytale's combat mechanisms have not been fully implemented, but they are quite different from Minecraft.
Crafting in Hytale is more like Valheim than Minecraft
Crafting in Hytale is much easier than Minecraft. Resources do not need to be placed on the grid; players can simply select an item to craft from the menu and if there is a resource in inventory, it will be created. And various crafting stations, such as the armorer's workbench, can be upgraded using rarer resources. The more a specific workbench is upgraded, the more recipes the player will have.
You can hang on to the ledges in Hytale
Another difference: in Hytale, players can jump and grab the edge of a block to pull themselves up onto it. It may not seem important from the outside, but in reality, this mechanic is very useful. For example, it allows you to escape from enemies that can climb single blocks but cannot pull themselves up to higher blocks the same way the player can. This mechanic is also useful for exploration if procedural terraforming hasn't created a convenient route to the top of some hill or cliff.
