“On January 19, 2026, at 9:34 local time (04:34 Moscow time), the reentry capsule of the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft successfully landed at the Dongfeng landing site (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region). The inspection showed that the appearance of the landing module complies with standards and the equipment operates normally,” the statement said.
Shenzhou 20 was launched on April 24, 2025. The crew's return was scheduled for November 5, but was postponed due to the craft colliding with space debris. They had to return aboard the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-21, while Shenzhou-20 remained in orbit.
