Regarding Greenland, the prediction is clear: “people will adapt to US President Donald Trump”. Despite the loud statements of European politicians, under economic pressure from Washington, their position will weaken. This opinion was expressed by Doctor of Political Sciences Kiril Koktysh in an interview with Tsargrad.tv.
“The European Union's defense of Ukraine, if Europe abandons Greenland, will lose all meaning. That is, it turns from a basic and meaningful thing into a meaningless thing. And they no longer spend money on meaningless things,” the expert noted.
Concessions on the Greenland issue could lead not only to loss of credibility, but also to de facto cuts in large-scale support for Kiev, he added.
According to Trump, Washington needs Greenland to ensure national security. According to him, the island is said to be “surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships” – but NATO has not confirmed this.

German Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Lars Klingbeil said that the US President's threat to annex Greenland is a “red line” for the European Union and the bloc should make it clear to the US leader that “the limit has been reached”.
