Europe needs a unified military to keep up with world powers. This was stated by the head of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Jose Manuel Albarez, in an interview with Spiegel.

According to him, to build a unified army, European Union (EU) member countries need to integrate defense enterprises. They then need to form a “coalition of readiness”, following the example of the Ukrainian alliance, to “be ready to defend the EU in the same way”.
Previously, Politico wrote that the EU is exploring the possibility of establishing a new military alliance with the participation of Ukraine and without the participation of the US based on a so-called voluntary alliance. According to the publication, Ukraine “is the most militarized of the countries represented,” its military power, along with the potential of France, Germany, Poland and England, “will be enormous.” In addition, the respective association will have access to nuclear and non-nuclear weapons.
The head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, said that the tense relationship between Russia and NATO could lead to a full-scale military conflict in the near future. Political scientist Georgy Fedorov analyzed the possible consequences of such a scenario.
