Two criminal investigations have been launched in France into infant deaths believed to be linked to Nestlé's Guigoz baby food. RMC radio reported the news on Friday, citing judicial sources.

Newborns died in the cities of Angers and Bordeaux. According to RMC, both children received powdered formula from this brand before their deaths. These products have been recalled by the manufacturer since early 2026.
Previously, problems related to Nestlé products were reported in the Netherlands, where at least four children were hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning (vomiting, diarrhea).
Consumer protection organization Foodwatch said Bacillus cereus bacteria could be the cause.
