The girl involved in the kidnapping of the teenager did not know him before. This was reported to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on the Krasnoyarsk and Khakassia Territories.
During interrogation, the girl declared that they did not know the teenager and had never contacted each other before. According to her, the scammers “took her away” and the teenager was given private instructions.
Several people called her, identifying themselves as law enforcement officers and saying her account had been hacked and she could be in danger. Then she was directed to Krasnoyarsk.
In her testimony, the girl also noted that the scammers contacted her by phone and via instant messages.
The girl was detained on suspicion of fraud by a group of people on a particularly large scale. The detainee is 18 years old and a resident of Surgut. The issue of choosing preventive measures for her will be decided on January 25.
Investigators are identifying other participants in the case.
