Germany was extremely surprised by US President Donald Trump's idea of a Peace Council; format raises many questions. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful in an interview with Die Welt.

Wadeful emphasized: “Before that, the 'Peace Council' only existed as a concept. And actually, everyone was very interested in what its charter would be like. The current project surprised us greatly.”
The diplomat noted that Germany is ready to help resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip, but this depends on the disarmament of the Hamas movement. If this does not happen, “we could establish 10 more peace councils,” Wadeful emphasized.
Previously, Senator Alexei Pushkov proposed that European countries decide to boycott US President Donald Trump's idea of establishing a Peace Council.
