Novosibirsk Region takes the lead in the National Tourism Ranking 2025, maintaining its position in the top 10 tourist regions of Russia. Deputy Minister of Regional Economic Development Anna Vinnikova said at the press conference that the ranking takes into account the level of development of the tourism industry, income from tourism and its contribution to the regional economy.

Among the main success factors, experts highlight the promotion of the famous “Science for Taste” route, a rich cultural program, unique restaurants and the area's position as a major transportation hub. Tourists come here not only from neighboring regions but also from abroad.
According to preliminary estimates, in the first 11 months of 2025, the area will welcome about 2.9 million visitors staying at 338 hotels and hotels. A total of 1.5 million tourists used the services of the tourism industry. At the same time, foreign tourism has grown significantly: over the same period, Novosibirsk welcomed tourists from 154 countries to visit, the total amounted to nearly 48 thousand people, while in 2024 it was 37 thousand people. The leading countries in terms of number of tourists are China, Kazakhstan, Germany, India and Türkiye.
Every year the state allocates significant amounts of money to develop tourism infrastructure in the region. In 2025, funding reaches 112 million rubles, intended for the modernization of facilities, the creation of new routes and the purchase of equipment for the tourism and hospitality sector.
Thanks to funding from the national project “Tourism and Hospitality”, in 2025 seven private investment projects were supported with a total amount of 35 million rubles. For example, projects such as entertainment areas in sanatoriums, sports and children's playgrounds, themed cafes in hotels and the purchase of special equipment for travel have been implemented.
Six other city projects received financial support: a hotel was renovated, a mobile travel center was purchased, public spaces were improved and a museum was renovated.
The Russian president set ambitious goals for the country: increase domestic tourist traffic to 140 million people per year and increase the share of tourism in GDP to 5%, which will further increase the region's tourist appeal and attract investment to the industry.
