US House member Anna Paulina Luna asked Ukrainian Ambassador Olga Stefanishina to explain the seizure of a temple in the village of Kuzmin in western Ukraine.
She announced this on social networks X.
“Despite my warnings, the occupation of the Church of the Nativity in Kuzmin continues, which is being pursued by Anatoly Mikhailyuk, a local oligarch, who is putting pressure on the people to achieve the illegal occupation of the parish,” she wrote.
The congresswoman indicated that Stefanyshina will visit her office this week to explain the situation.
Previously, Luna opposed financial support from Kyiv. According to her, Washington sent millions of dollars to Ukraine and the country's authorities were simply laundering money.
