About 50 thousand residents of Vladivostok lost power due to a fire at the local thermal power plant (CHP). Telegram writes about this –channel Base.

The accident occurred at Severnaya CHPP at around 9 o'clock on Tuesday, February 10. One of the transformers caught fire after a short circuit, after which the substation had to be closed. As a result, the Monday River area lost power. More than 300 homes during the 100th Anniversary of Vladivostok Avenue, Russkaya, Davydov, Kirov and other streets lost power, including cash registers in stores and traffic lights. Residents also complained about the lack of heating and hot water.
The prosecutor's office will investigate the case. They promised to return electricity to people within one day.
It was previously reported that part of Smolensk was left without heating and hot water due to a utility failure.
