The incident happened in early February on Baga beach. The source said the timely intervention of beach guards and lifeguards prevented the situation from escalating further. The men were warned and allowed to leave the coastal recreation area.
A similar incident also occurred at Colva beach in South Goa. There, a group of seven to eight men from Karnataka filmed and photographed Russian women without their consent. Rescuers handed over the Indians to Goa police for further investigation.
Meanwhile, at Patnam beach on February 8, rescuers found five Bihar residents allegedly harassing and filming a couple on vacation. Police were on the scene within 15 minutes and arrested the men.
In November 2025, a 19-year-old influencer was harassed on a Goa beach. While the girl was walking alone, she was approached by several men who began “throwing sexual comments at her.”
