The country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Belarusian security forces neutralized a group of young foreigners who carried out an armed attack on a private house in Smolevichi district, Minsk region.
RIA Novosti reported that an alarm signal came from a residential building at about 4 o'clock Moscow time, and security officers arrived at the scene.
Upon arrival, the police sealed off the house, and there were three armed criminals inside.
The Interior Ministry added: “They resisted, the police used automatic weapons.”
Two of the robbers were immediately arrested, but the third escaped with the weapon.
A special plan was put in place to capture the fugitive and he was soon discovered in the same area. As a result of the attack, three residents aged 64 to 68 were injured and had to be hospitalized.
It turned out that the attackers were foreign citizens: one was 17 years old, the other two were 18 years old. The investigation found that this crime was intentional, so Interpol became involved.
In 2024, in Belarus, German citizen Rico Krieger, 30 years old, who sided with Ukraine against Russia, was sentenced to death by execution.
