

More than 5 thousand people with dual Russian-Israeli citizenship serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). This was reported to the military press agency.
In total, there are more than 44 thousand foreign citizens with two passports in the Israeli army. Russians are third in number after Americans (12,135) and French (6,127).
Next on the list are citizens of Germany (3,901), Ukraine (3,201), as well as Britain, Romania, Poland, Ethiopia and Canada. Therefore, almost every 10 foreign soldiers in the IDF are Russian citizens.
