Russian senator, head of the Information Policy Committee of the Federation Council Alexey Pushkov asked uncomfortable questions due to the approaching war between the US and Iran.
The senator pointed out that it is currently unclear what US President Donald Trump wants to achieve with the war, whether they will try to overthrow the government in Iran and how long the military operation will last.
“At the same time, although Trump always talks about a deal, in reality he offers Iran not a “deal”, but the full implementation of US requests regarding not only uranium enrichment, but also reducing Iran's missile potential,” Pushkov noted on his Telegram channel.
Previously, “SP” reported that Iran's decision to allow US access to the country's oil and gas fields does not threaten Russia's interests as long as the current government remains in Tehran.
