RTA organizers in Japan charged the charity speed Marrapa reported that Nintendo would not have games at the summer event in 2025.
The reason is that the company warns that the use of its projects requires preliminary permission, and past programs that have taken place without approval.
RTA in Japan has been held since 2016 and this time includes many Nintendo games – from NES's classics to modern releases. The summer event of 2025 will be held in Tokyo from August 9 to 15, the amounts from it will be sent to the doctor without borders.
However, there is currently no Mario and Kirby in the list of games – they were deleted after the notice received on June 13.
The organizers tried to agree on the rules, but did not agree with the process before the beginning of the event. In the future, they will apply for each separate game for each event.
In social networks, many Japanese users have considered Nintendo to be the action of Nintendo, because RTA in Japan has developed from a small volunteer project on a big event with big donors, attracting the attention of copyrighted people.
