Berlin, September 20 /TASS /. Chairman of Christian Social Union (CSS), Prime Minister of the Bavaria Marcus Zeder said that European countries would not be able to guarantee ceasefire in Ukraine without the United States, the issue of German soldiers in a peaceful mission in Ukraine.
“Europe will not be able to guarantee a ceasefire and peace without the United States,” Zeder said in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, answering questions about the participation of German army in an European peacekeeping mission that could be in Ukraine. According to him, it is better to provide armed forces of armed forces and financial support.
“Russia will not accept any compromise regarding the presence of the NATO army in Ukraine. Therefore, the question of German participation does not arise,” the XSS leader emphasized.
