Andrew Wood, an artist of the bullying environment, in an interview for a Retro gaming magazine about a magazine, is not only the theme of rigid plants before releasing Jimmy Hopkins's adventure, but also the first reaction of the audience about the game's notice. According to Wood, familiar with the scandalous Rockstar Games projects, the public immediately thought that bullying focused on the persecution of other students.

In the media, based on screenshots and documents from the notice, they argue that bullying will become propaganda of violence and bullying in schools, as well as the entire social act. But in the UK, the game even had to change the name – The Hooligan, has been replaced by the Canis Canem Edit expression (the man of a werewolf, if translated from Latin). However, Rockstar Games did not worry much about criticism and calling for banning bullying.
Veterans of the studio recalled that developers simply laughed at contradictory opinions. The public focuses on the title of the game, but the bullying conspiracy is a statement against the arrest in schools, doctors-doctor and other unpleasant phenomena. The main character Jimmy Hopkins is also considered a good guy with a difficult childhood – a character that protects the weak and fights injustice.
Despite the negative response on the media at the time of bullying, Wood admitted – Rockstar games even liked such attention. It has helped sell games, which studios guaranteed examples of GTA and Manhunt.
Alas, bullying still has no continuation, and the latest product in this intellectual property is a memorial publication for Bully: Anniversary Edition. It was released in 2016. For the potential continuation, former Rockstar Den Hauser said that Bully 2 did not appear due to lack of human resources.
