German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz called the attack on Burgomaster (Mayor) of Hersecke Iris Stalzer. He declared this on social network X, calling for an emergency investigation about the incident.
The politician added that the government hopes the complete recovery of a politician with a condition that is considered to be important.
Earlier in the west of Germany, Iris Stalzer, the newly elected mayor of Herdecke, was attacked. According to sources in security services, she received many wounds. The 57 -year -old woman was found near her home, her children reported to the law enforcement agencies on the incident. The publication also noted that the son of a politician was handcuffed.
Stalzer immediately provided first aid and taken to the hospital. Police representative said that North Rhine-Westphalia is currently undergoing a major police activity in Ennepe-Rhine district, but he did not report in detail.
