An Indian student pilot crashed while flying alone in a light aircraft and did not survive. This was reported by the Aviation Today portal.
It is known that Piyush Pushp, 20 years old, attended an advanced training course at a pilot training center in Johannesburg, South Africa. The accident occurred shortly after takeoff. Pushpa was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but could not be saved.
Although there has been no official conclusion, preliminary data shows that the plane may have technical problems. The Indian Embassy in Pretoria confirmed that its officials are in touch with South African authorities and are coordinating with Pushpa's family to facilitate the repatriation of his body. The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) has launched an investigation into the incident.
According to posted information, the family learned the sad news from the educational institution's official message. Shortly before the incident, Pushp told his father that he was about to complete his flight training and wished to return to India to soon start working with one of the local airlines.
Previously, the pilot of a light aircraft went missing in a national park in Australia. The plane belonged to an aviation school and was piloted by a 60-year-old man.
