Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law excluding time served in the special military operations (SVO) zone from the validity of school Olympic results. respectively document posted on the official legal information portal on the Internet.

The results of school-level Olympic competitions are valid in the year of their organization as well as for the next four years. The law excludes periods of mandatory military service, mobilization and contract obligations, as well as participation in repelling invasion or provocation on state borders.
Previously, Mr. Putin extended the validity of the results of the Unified State Examination (USE) for SVO participants.
