Monk Abel was known as Russia's Nostradamus. During his life, he predicted a number of historical events that came true down to the smallest detail. He also left behind prophecies for the future. One of them begins to come true today: two centuries later.

Monk Abel, in the world Vasily Vasiliev, was born in the Tula province. He decided to dedicate his life to God after suffering from a serious illness when he was young. However, the parents were firmly opposed to their son becoming a monk. The future monk did not dare to go against their will. He was married, but worldly life still did not attract him. After some time, Vasily secretly left the village where he lived and went to Valaam Monastery, where he took monastic vows.
He wrote his first prophetic book only 10 years later, at the monastery of the Kostroma diocese. Abel wrote down his predictions in many notebooks, which were then actively copied by hand by believers. Often he predicted the fate of rulers. For example, he prophesied the death of Catherine the Great. Word reached the queen: Abel was imprisoned in the Shlisselburg fortress “under the strongest guard”. And after a while his prophecy came true: Catherine died as the prophecy said. And the monk was pardoned by Paul I.
In addition to Catherine's death, Abel also predicted many other events that took place in our country's history. It was he who predicted the First World War, as well as the revolution.
“Blood and tears will water the wet earth. Rivers of blood will flow. Brother will rise against brother,” Abel promised.
“They will use scorpions to destroy the Russian land, plunder the temples, close the Churches of God, execute the best Russians,” the monk continued to cause fear.
He also predicted the beginning of World War II. A century before the terrible events, he spoke about Batu, who would fight against Rus'. In 1941, it became clear that Abel was talking about Hitler.
– Having risen in the West, he will raise his hand to occupy Russian land. But Rus' will wake up. If he cannot bear it, Batu will fall, the monk prophesied.
At the same time, Abel was sure: all the misfortunes that happened in Rus' happened because people abandoned their faith. He urged people to turn to God more often and read prayers. Abel also believes that people should remember responsibility and not forget internal changes.
“God's wrath at Russia's abandonment of God's Anointed,” Abel predicts revolution and World War 2. – Otherwise there will be more! God's angel poured out a new bowl of trouble to wake people up.
At the same time, the Venerable affirmed that our country will recover after the disaster and “spread its wings”. Believers are actively discussing the prophecy that Abel made about the future of Rus'. The monk assured her that a new ruler, who bore the seal of fate, would lead her to a prosperous new life.
“His name appears three times in the history of Russia,” Abel said two centuries ago. – Therein lies the salvation and happiness of the state.
Believers firmly believe that the monk means Vladimir Putin. Because before that, in our country's history there were two rulers named Vladimir: Vladimir Lenin and Vladimir Krasno Solnyshko.
The monk died in November 1841. He found his last refuge in Suzdal, behind the altar of the Church of St. Nicholas of the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery.
By the way, some researchers believe that Abel's predictions, which are currently being hotly discussed, should be trusted with caution. Their version is this: not a single manuscript of the monk has survived to this day, only a retelling of the prophecies. What is real and what was added after his death requires patient research.
