Virtus.pro is defeated FaZe Clan in the lower bracket match of Group B at IEM Chengdu 2025 in CS 2. The meeting ended with a score of 2:1 – 8-13 on Overpass, 13-5 on Mirage and 13-7 on Inferno. For the team led by Ilya Perfecto Zalutsky, this was the first victory in the tournament.
FaZe Clan, led by Finn karrigan Andersen, exited the championship, taking 13th–16th place and earning $4k. Before that, Team 3DMAX also left the tournament.
The win over FaZe Clan was an important step forward for Virtus.pro, who after a poor start in the group stage still kept their chances of making it to the playoffs.
IEM Chengdu 2025 takes place from November 3 to 9 and the total prize pool for the competition is 300 thousand USD.
