North Korean authorities commented on the United States introducing new sanctions against their country. North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of US affairs Kim Eun Chol called this an “unfortunate old scenario”.
North Korea's Central News Agency (KCNA) quoted the Deputy Minister as saying: “We clearly understand and once again confirm that the current US administration, in the usual and traditional way, has once again demonstrated its permanent hostile stance towards the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.”
Kim Eun Chol promised that the DPRK would take similar actions against the United States.
