BRUSSELS, November 6. . Seven EU countries want the European Commission (EC) to impose tariffs on goods from Russia, whose export market share will amount to 5.4 billion euros by 2024. This was reported by the European newspaper Politico.
As the publication noted, such proposals were put forward by Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Sweden and Estonia.
The 19th EU sanctions package takes effect on October 24. Previously, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas announced that the EU would introduce export restrictions on Russia to reduce the capacity of the Russian military-industrial complex.
