November 16, 2025

The creators of PUBG: Battlegrounds have published a large article dedicated to the fight against cheaters. It talks about existing methods and what will change in the future.

The authors note that phishing software is constantly evolving, and so are the systems that search for it. Recently, the number of detected violations has increased about 2.5 times and search time has decreased by more than 90%. Along with neural networks, the number of employees resolving user complaints is also increasing. The team responsible for this has nearly tripled in size. People who were accidentally banned are also mentioned. There are many complaints, but in 70% of cases the use of third-party programs is confirmed.

The developers added that they are carefully investigating cases of players using bugs that give them an advantage over their opponents. In these situations, they not only punish the offender, but also seek to correct the mistake.

The fight against cheating in PUBG does not end with a ban. In three months, more than 100 lawsuits were considered in court, and those who created and used fraudulent software were held responsible for their violations in accordance with the law.

Previously, the PUBG team posted a trailer for the Erangel map update. And the media reported that Krafton, the company responsible for PUBG, is offering to fire employees who do not agree to switch to using AI on a large scale.

On October 13, the battle royale received a version for PS5 and Xbox Series, and dropped support on previous generation consoles.
