A fire broke out at an apartment on Stroiteley Avenue in Ulan-Ude. Three boys aged 12, 4 and 1.5 years old were rescued from the burning facility. All children showing signs of fire product poisoning were taken to the hospital. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Buryatia.

“Three children with signs of carbon monoxide poisoning were taken to a medical facility,” the agency said. The fire was quickly extinguished by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on an area of 10 square meters.
26 people and 8 pieces of equipment joined the firefighting effort. The department's press service said: “The initial cause of the fire was careless fire handling.”
The General Department of Emergency Situations also issued a warning to parents: do not leave children alone, talk to them about the rules of conduct in case of fire and limit access to fire sources. In addition, the agency recommends installing automatic fire detectors in housing, which will help detect fires promptly and can save lives.
