In Buryatia, a dam built during the construction of a pedestrian bridge over the Tarbagatayka river broke, the Tarbagatay information Telegram channel reported.
The incident occurred in the village of Desyatnikovo. The result of the breakthrough was a powerful stream of water gushing out. Locals posted footage of the fierce flow on social media.
The district's Unified Mission and Coordination Agency stated that there was no threat to the surrounding settlements and asked local residents not to allow children to reach the Tarbagatayka riverbed.
