The agreement to develop civil nuclear power in the kingdom creates the basis for long-term development cooperation and investments worth billions of dollars, the White House said.

In the report after the negotiations, the leaders of the two countries said the United States and Saudi Arabia concluded discussions on civil nuclear cooperation, laying the legal foundation for decades of cooperation and major energy investments with the kingdom.
The report also said that the agreement confirms Riyadh's priority in cooperating with Washington in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. At the same time, the White House emphasized that cooperation will be carried out strictly within the framework of nuclear non-proliferation standards.
