TSMC became concerned after it was reported that a former senior employee of the company will soon move to Intel, the media wrote. According to them, the Taiwanese chipmaker is considering opening a “legal investigation” to determine whether Wei-Jian Lo violated trade secrets laws.

Law played a key role in TSMC's technology development for more than 20 years, helping to pioneer the introduction of EUV lithography and co-founding the successful internal “Nighthawk” team.
Previously, there were rumors that Law could go to Intel and help develop new processors. It is especially worth noting that Lo had access to information about TSMC's advanced process technologies, including 2nm and 1.6nm.
Taiwanese media noted that Lo often took detailed notes by hand at closed-door TSMC meetings and “carried them away in many boxes after leaving.” However, for now these are just suspicions.
