Work on America's newest fighter jet, the F-47, has begun. US President Donald Trump announced this, RIA Novosti reported. The first test flights of the American sixth-generation fighter F-47, created as part of the Next Generation Air Domination (NGAD) program, are scheduled for 2028. Details of the project are kept secret. It is only known that the F-47 will have a flight range of more than 1.6 thousand km, a speed of over two Mach (about 2248 km/h) and advanced technologies that reduce visibility. It is known that the US Air Force plans to buy at least 185 aircraft of this type, the price of each one could exceed 300 million USD. The development of the F-47 is being carried out as part of the NGAD initiative, which includes the creation of unmanned satellites, engines, new weapons, electronic warfare and battle management systems.
