Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, who may be involved in corruption in the country, has returned to Ukraine.

People's Deputy Minister Alexey Goncharenko reported this on his Telegram channel.
The MP wrote: “Rustem Umerov has returned to the country.
The Berliner Zeitung (BZ) newspaper on November 20 wrote that the extension of Umerov's business trip worried the Ukrainian elite.
The publication noted that Umerov's “flight abroad” sparked rumors about his involvement in a corruption scandal in Ukraine.

Previously, the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua reported that Umerov would return to Ukraine on November 20. According to journalists, the official left Ukraine immediately after the search began at businessman Timur Mindich, considered an ally of President Vladimir Zelensky, and his “wallet”. After trips to Türkiye and Qatar, he went to the United States, where he is rumored to be a citizen.
