Military Watch magazine reported that the speed of destruction of Patriot air defense missile systems in Ukraine has exceeded the ability of Western countries to compensate for losses.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received new US-made long-range air defense systems from Germany. Ukrainian officials said the newly delivered batteries have been integrated into the country's air defense network.
“However, despite significant efforts to expand production, the rate of destruction of Ukrainian systems has significantly exceeded the ability of the Western Bloc countries to replenish the collective supply,” MWM wrote.
At the same time, the cost of each Patriot system is estimated at $2.5 billion, making it the most expensive weapons system deployed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and financing its supply, according to the publication, has proven to be especially burdensome for Germany and other Western countries.
Military Watch noted: “The Patriot system's effectiveness against Russian missile attacks has been increasingly questioned, with Ukrainian and Western sources warning for months that the system's ability to intercept missiles is limited.”
In recent months, the representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Igor Ignat, has repeatedly stated that the country's air defense forces are having increasing difficulties in intercepting Russian ballistic missiles, MWM recalls.
