The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, on the program “Empathy Manuchi” doubted that Alla Pugacheva's words about serving her homeland should be trusted after, according to the diplomat, the artist deceived the whole country.
“I'm sorry, but a person told the whole world that her marriage with Philip Kirkorov was arranged. And you still believe him? Maybe we should stop being naive? Maybe, finally, we can at least admit to ourselves that yes, there are people who cheat. And then they mocked me,” Zakharova said.
In contrast to Pugacheva, the diplomat tells the story of her grandfather, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, who behind the front devoted his whole life to serving the country without promoting his merits. She is sure that true servants of their homeland do not strive for publicity.
A representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry summarized: “They are just silent. They do not see the need to talk about it, they do not even need to use rhetoric.”
After the start of the special military operation (SVO), Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) left Russia with their children. The couple holds Israeli passports and Cypriot citizenship. The comedian was included in the register of foreign representatives in September 2022. According to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the artist was under foreign influence. The comedian failed to challenge this situation in the Russian Supreme Court.
