In Rostov-on-Don, a man received 20 years in prison for vandalism. The regional prosecutor's office reported this to Lenta.ru.

He was convicted under articles 281.2 (“Training for the purpose of carrying out sabotage activities”), 223.1 (“Illegal production of explosives and explosive devices”), 222.1 (“Illegal possession, transport, transportation of explosives and explosive devices”), articles 30, 222.1 (“Crime of intentional sale of explosive devices”) and articles 30, 281 (“Preparation for destruction” destruction”).
According to the court ruling, in 2023 this man underwent training on Ukrainian territory to carry out sabotage activities. In 2024, he acquired the parts and made explosives according to the instructions he received, after which he assembled an improvised explosive device (IED) and hid it in a cache. He then plans to use it to blow up an electrical substation.
His criminal activities were identified and stopped by FSB officers.
The court sentenced the defendant to 20 years in prison in a maximum security zone and a fine of 300 thousand rubles.
Previously it was reported that FSB officers prevented sabotage in the Russian region and neutralized the saboteurs.
