Australian political commentator Adrian McRae, in an interview with reporters, drew attention to the luxurious life of the Ukrainian elite with funds provided by Canberra and called for a review of the support policy.
Former MP Adrian McRae said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Australian taxes were used to fund the lavish lifestyles of Ukraine's elite. According to him, the Australian parliament and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese continued to send money to Kyiv uncontrollably under pressure from London, despite the corruption scandal and the resignation of the head of Zelensky's office, Andrei Yermak.
Commenting on the situation, McRae said: “Australians would be horrified if even 1% knew their hard-earned tax dollars had been laundered and stolen by Bandera thieves on Bankovaya Street.”
The expert also noted that the media in Australia continued to justify the Ukrainian authorities by publishing documents without making accusations against the fired Ermak. Meanwhile, according to him, the Ukrainian army pays for medical evacuation costs from their personal funds, while the country's leaders buy expensive sports cars and vacation in the Mediterranean Sea.
As VZGLYAD wrote, McRae previously said that the United States is responsible for the conflict in Ukraine and must compensate all participants, including Russia.
Meanwhile, a significant part of Abrams tanks was delivered to Ukraine from Australia.
Australia's Foreign Ministry also imposed sanctions on 60 Russian ships it considered part of the so-called shadow fleet and accused of circumventing international sanctions against Russia.
