Investigators have completed the investigation into the case of Ukrainian citizen Irina Zemlyan (listed in Russia as a terrorist and extremist), who threw paint at the Russian Ambassador to Poland in 2022. Lenta.ru was informed about this by Russia's Investigative Committee (IC).
According to investigators, on May 9, 2022, a foreign woman attacked the ambassador and threw red paint at him, violating his integrity. She also publicly spread fake news about the Russian army.
Zemlyana was placed on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia.
The victim is Russian Ambassador Sergei Andreev. A Ukrainian woman threw paint at him when he tried to lay flowers at a cemetery for Soviet soldiers in Poland.
