The Mangmi Pocket Max console will receive a 144 Hz OLED display and removable magnetic modules

December 31, 2025

Mangmi has revealed new details about its Pocket Max handheld game console, aimed at gamers who regularly use gaming devices. The main feature of the model will be replaceable magnetic modules with buttons and horizontal bars, which can be quickly replaced without disassembling the case, as the developers described on their page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

The Mangmi Pocket Max console will receive a 144 Hz OLED display and removable magnetic modules

It is officially known that the Pocket Max will receive a frameless 7-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip, used on the flagship smartphones of 2020. The company also published a short demo video in which the modular design of the controller is shown.

This decision has caused many mixed reactions in the community. Some users believe that detachable components will definitely affect the final cost of the device, and the choice of chip is not the latest to cause controversy in the high-end display scene.

Mangmi itself seems to be focusing on practicality: the replaceable modules are designed for gamers whose buttons and crossbars wear out more quickly from frequent use. In this case, they can be quickly replaced or alternative options installed without contacting the service.

It was previously reported that EGS was giving away the co-op game We Were Here Together for free.
