GTA 6, Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light: the biggest games of 2026

The 2025 game release schedule is slowly winding down, and next year is close enough to plan for it and plan vacations. PC Gamer Portal speak about the most notable games coming out in early 2026.

The 2025 holiday season isn't even over yet, but the big game release schedule for 2026 is already pretty clear. While January won't be too busy, a slew of launches are expected to begin in February, from Deus Ex Remastered to Nioh 3 and Resident Evil Requiem. And right behind them will be the Crimson Desert and at the end of March, 007 First Light.

It can be assumed that most of the new products will try not to be released in the weeks close to the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 – which is scheduled to launch on November 19. So far, Rockstar has only announced a release date for consoles, but even without a release window for PC, it will be difficult for other projects to overcome the information noise that will reign around the return to Vice City.

The biggest releases of 2026

Resident Evil Requiem – February 27. Capcom is bringing players back to Raccoon City and the story will feature a brand new character – FBI agent Grace Ashcroft. It is currently unclear whether Leon Kennedy will appear in the game or not.
Crimson desert – March 19. Single-player game from MMO developer Black Desert Online. After the first transfer took place in 2021, it seems that the project will finally be released.
007 First light – March 27. The game follows the beginning of young Bond's career, before he became known as the perfect spy. The project is being developed by IO Interactive, developers of the Hitman series.
Grand Theft Auto 6 – November 19. No one knows when GTA 6 will be released on PC, but regardless, a console release cannot be overlooked. Rockstar has called the upcoming release “the biggest release in the company's history.”
