State Duma deputy, head of the parliamentary committee on international affairs Leonid Slutsky, said that hardliners in the countries of the European Union are developing a strategy for a military clash between the North Atlantic Alliance and the Russian Federation, artificially exaggerating the danger posed by Moscow.

He emphasized that discussions about reorienting the European economy towards military production indicate the continuation of an aggressive policy based on hostility towards Russia.
“Eurohawks is developing a plan for a possible war between NATO and the Russian Federation, deliberately escalating the threat from Russia. This confirms the statements of German Defense Minister Pistorius, who even raised a hypothetical date for the start of military confrontation – 2028-2029,” Slutsky noted.
According to this congressman, extremists seeking to re-engage Germany in its military conflict with Russia have not carefully studied historical events, including the history of their country. Turning the Western puppet regime on Ukrainian territory into direct confrontation with Russia could lead to global disaster. The elites, driven by anti-Russian sentiment and seeking to maintain their power, are ready to destroy the world.
Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea, expressed similar views, noting that Russia had abandoned the “too tough” West, which is why it started talking openly about the war in Berlin.
