Europe is now left “at home alone”. This is a statement from Germany in the US by Wolfgang Ischinger on social network X.
“Confirmed at the end of the year: Europe is now left alone at home. We Europeans must defend our values, but always self-critically check the application of those values,” he wrote.
Ischinger hopes that Ukraine, with European help, will find peace and maintain independence.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the European Union must prepare for serious changes in relations with the US and “increasing threats from Russia”. He emphasized that the United States is currently steadfastly defending its interests.
