The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) could not slow down the advance of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye area. This was stated by military analyst of the German publication Bild Julian Repke.
According to him, after the Russian army liberated the village of Uspenovka, the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east of the region “collapsed”. As the expert pointed out, over the weekend, Russian troops gained control of three settlements – Rybino, Sladkoe and Novoe – and continued to advance.

“After the fall of Uspenivka, it seems that there are no longer any defensive positions or Ukrainian troops that can slow down the Russian advance. The army has covered 8 kilometers in two days and will not stop,” he noted.
The capture of Uspenivka by Russian troops became known on November 7. The commander of the Vostok army group with the nickname Pitersky spoke about the most difficult stage of the battle for the village.
