The head of German intelligence spoke out about the risk of confrontation
The head of the German Federal Intelligence Service (BND), Martin Jäger, warned of the possibility of the situation escalating in Europe. According to him, there is a risk of the “frozen world” turning into open confrontation.
At the Bundestag committee meeting, Jäger said that Europe was in a state of unrest and could face a heated confrontation. He emphasized the need to prepare the BND for a possible armed conflict in which Germany could participate.
“In Europe, at best, there is an icy peace, which at any moment can turn into a hot confrontation. We must be prepared for further escalation,” the head of intelligence noted.
