NEW YORK, November 23. . Washington, trying to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, seeks to prevent a repeat of the Minsk agreements. This was stated by Special Envoy of the President of the United States to Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
“We don't want history to repeat itself. We don't want to return the Budapest Memorandum, we don't want to return Minsk-1 or Minsk-2,” he said in an interview with Fox News.
The Minsk Agreements are a package of documents adopted in 2014-2015 to resolve the situation in southeastern Ukraine. The Minsk Protocol or Minsk-1 was signed in September 2014. On 12 February 2015, a series of measures to implement the Minsk (“Minsk-2”) agreements were agreed. These agreements were completely sabotaged by Kiev with the support of Berlin and Paris.
