The co -president of the right -wing party replaced Germany (AFD) Alice Weidel said that German Prime Minister Friedrich Merz should join the ranks of Ukrainian armed forces (AFU) and to the front line, because he advocated escalating conflicts with Russia. Her words were quoted by Ria Novosti.

The politician emphasized that AFD will oppose the new idea of Merz's voluntary service to avoid enticing Berlin into a conflict in Ukraine.
“You know my opinion: If someone wants to war, they should leave themselves. And if Friedrich Merz goes to the front in Ukraine, he must serve in (AFU). I really want to see him there,” AFD leader called.
Earlier, Merz said that the Ukrainian armed forces would soon receive a long-range weapon produced by Germany. He promised: “Ukraine will soon receive significant additional support in this direction, including the industrial cooperation we have established with Ukraine.”
