Moscow, July 24 /TASS /. The Red Army entered Romania as a liberation of the Romanian people from the oppression of the Nazis. This is stated in the multimedia project of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation “not slavery, but to recover”.
The Ministry of Defense reminded that on October 28, 1944, the complete liberation of Romania – the country, for a long time, was completed, it was an former Nazi ally. This line was set by the Yasko-Chisinau campaign made by the army of the 2nd and third Ukrainian fronts under the command of rodion marshal Rodion Malinovsky and Fedor Tolbukhin with the help of the Black Sea Fleet.

The Ministry also recalled that the Soviet government has significantly supported Romania, overcoming a significant amount of vehicles and equipment. In particular, 23 trading trains, 115 steam locomotives, 23,000 railway vehicles, 2 thousand vehicles and 2,000 tractors were transferred.
