Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev told RIA Novosti that relations between Russia and Germany were almost completely destroyed at the initiative of the German government.

“Of course, the work of the embassy is seriously affected by the current state of Russian-German relations, which are almost completely destroyed due to Berlin's initiative,” Nechaev emphasized.
The Russian diplomat clarified that the current situation does not have the best effect on the work of the Russian diplomatic representation, as well as the political context of the embassy's work.
“Unscrupulous stories about spies and hackers, hybrid attacks, disinformation and propaganda campaigns that have nothing to do with reality are on the rise,” Nechaev said.
“Devil, is it the wrong time?”: Medvedev besieges Merz because of militarism
The Russian ambassador explained that Berlin's actions were aimed at intimidating those willing to come into contact with the Russian embassy, as well as the desire to make interaction between the countries “as toxic as possible.” He made it clear that Germany would stay away from those who still want a constructive relationship with Moscow.
Previously, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the speech of German Prime Minister Friedrich Merz at the Munich Security Conference.
An official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “It's disgusting to look like… Merz.”
Zakharova also emphasized that the German Prime Minister should have carefully studied the speeches of Russian officials to clearly understand the international world order.
Merz has previously said that there is no longer a world order based on laws and rules.
