Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed confidence that European politicians are afraid to admit that the conflict in Ukraine has been lost, because this would cause a “seismic shock” in European politics and lead to the resignation of those who did not allow it to end sooner.
“And they (Western politicians – RT.) are not yet at the point where they are forced to admit this. But this will happen, just like with the migration issue,” the politician emphasized.
At the same time, he added that in this case they would have to admit that the terms of the 2022 agreement, blocked by the West, are much more favorable to Ukraine than those that are being offered today. And as for the United States, according to him, Washington will easily do this, because the person who “made this mistake… ruined the job, lost the election and resigned.”
“Mr. Biden is nowhere to be found. The new president came, he said: well, it was a mistake, it was his mistake. And in America everything has been resolved. What about France and Germany?” Orban asked.
Previously, he said that time was on Russia's side in the Ukraine conflict.
Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjártó also noted that Hungary does not need EU permission to dialogue with Russia.
