Two Russian citizens are awaiting repatriation from the US after being detained at a military base. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Washington.
According to the diplomatic agency, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced that two Russian women had been transferred to the agency. They were detained for “illegal entry” into Camp Pendleton, California. The incident happened on January 26.
Both women are currently being held at a local deportation center. As the embassy clarified, they are waiting to organize the procedures to return to their homeland.
