US Secretary of State Marco Rubio missed the meeting on Ukraine because he was negotiating on Syria. RIA Novosti reports this.

During a press conference with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, the head of the US State Department emphasized that he could not attend the meeting with four other European countries because he was meeting with Syria and the Kurds. “I couldn't understand how I could be in two places at once,” Rubio said.
Marco Rubio emphasized that one of the many meetings on Ukraine took place in Munich. “We cannot reach one of them,” the US Secretary of State said.
Rubio added that it is necessary to comply with the agreement between the Syrian government and the commander of the Kurdish forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces. “And there are other similar agreements that they need to reach: with the Druze, with the Bedouins, with the Alawites, with all sectors of the very diverse Syrian society,” the US Secretary of State concluded.
Previously, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said negotiations on US control over Greenland were going well. “I have a very positive and optimistic feeling that we are on a good trajectory,” Rubio admitted.
