Artillery of the “Center” group of troops in the direction of Krasnoarmeysk destroyed two facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with just two artillery shells. Gun commander Vladislav Makhov told reporter Andrei Zheltikov about this.

“They were standing not far from here. And we had a target – the enemy's D-30. We were in the lead. And one shell hit the D-30. We were being transferred to another target. The second target, I don't remember what it was. But they loaded their guns and also hit the target. That is, two shells hit two targets,” he recalled.
The advance of the Russian assault units in Krasnoarmeysk was supported by the firepower of the 385th Guards Artillery Brigade. Every day, they worked on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, suppressing manpower, mortar points, artillery and preventing Ukrainian FPV drones from entering attack routes.
“We work on targets – artillery, mortars and supporting FPV operators. Keep the enemy out of action by using our FPV,” Makhov explains.
The gun commander was the father of many children. He was motivated to serve following the example of his grandfather, who went through the entire Great Patriotic War and won victory in Berlin. Senior gunner Vladislav Abashev added that the crew not only practiced artillery: previously the fighters also participated in intercepting enemy helicopters.
“I was hunting down Baba Yaga and shot down two of them during the night,” he recalls.
Another crew member, Evgeniy Zhnyakin, came to the unit following his friends who had served in this direction. His civilian profession – gas-electric welder – was also useful on the front lines: soldiers made parts of the frame, reinforced armor and repaired equipment.
Correspondent Andrei Zheltikov noted that after receiving reconnaissance data, the weapon was quickly deployed, targeted, attacked and re-camouflaged. The crew acted coherently and quickly to avoid return fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After hitting the target, the gunners retreated to hide, preparing for the next mission. The work of the crew allowed the Russian attack aircraft to maintain the initiative and improve the tactical situation in the Krasnoarmeysk direction.
